Product Detail Company Profile

UV-GI-30 is one of the UV curable inks in widest use for glass. It has no volatile solvent, no odors, and is specially fit for a large area of screen printing. The curing speed is fast, and the coat is high-hardness but not crisp, shows good abrasive resistance and excellent adhesion (100%). Benefits from no heated for long time, the ink has brighter color in compare with thermosetting ink. It can improve the water resistance by adding waterproof agent. Thus, the ink can apply for colorful, large areas and scales of glass products which need resisting water and freeze, such as glass products in shower room, bathroom and kitchen, freezer, the door of refrigerator, outdoor decorative glass, glass cup, glass plate and so on.

Requirement of storage: the series of ink should be kept and stored in a cool, dry place that away from direct sunlight.

Shelf Time: more than 6 months.

Printing and curing:

In order to improve the adhesion to glass and water resistance, it’s important to add 30# agent (1-2 %) to the ink before printing. The ink mixed with 30# should be used up as quickly as possible.

Usually thinner is not necessary. If it is cold and the ink shows high viscosity, UV thinner can be added among 3-5%. It is advised to use screen (more than 300) to print four-color ink and use screen (more than 200) to print white ink.

In the process of multicolor printing, it’s better to print light-color ink firstly and deep-color ink later. It is suggested to put a light-proof aluminum plate under the glass during UV curing.

Witch produce process to choose depends on applications of glass products. Common products such as photo frame, decorative painting and glass background, can be processed by the first process. If the products need excellent boiling resistance, or have to satisfy other strict requirements, the second process will be a good advice.
