·         QUATRO-NORIA production line is dedicated to the manufacturing of round drawn
cardboard boxes for spreadable cheese triangles.

·         Deep drawing machine QUATRO works with four punching heads for the making of lids and bottoms.

·         Assembling machine NORIA makes two operations:

-          positioning and gluing of collars      

-          closing of boxes (lid positioning)

·         Connexion between QUATRO and NORIA is made by two air conveyors. Closed boxes are stacked in outfeed loader.

·         Capacity of QUATRO-NORIA : up to 100 boxes / min

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

1) Product to be

Deep drawn cardboard box for cheese with following dimensions :

- outer Ø 111,5 mm

- inner Ø 109,5 mm

- height : adjustable, from 18 to 68 mm to contain 1 to 4 layers of triangular cheese portions.

Above  dimensions  are  indicative  only,  they  correspond  to  standard  boxes.  Dimensions  can  vary  in

accordance  with  our  customers  specific  requests  and with  the  manufacturing  tolerances  related  to

the row materials.

2) Material to be used

For the box bases and lids, the materials are :

-  flat  cardboard,  thickness  ranging  from  0,5  to  0,6 mm  with  tolerances  +  or  –  0,02  mm  on  the

selected thickness.

- weight : from 400 to 450 gr/m2, + or – 10 gr. on the selected weight.

- the cardboard quality must be compatible with deep drawing thermoforming.

- humidity : from 8 to 9 % maximum.

-  the  cardboard  must  be  in  disc  shape  (blanks),  Ø  of  which  is  related  to  the  box  depth  (the  discs

may be cut from reels with the cutting machine DISCUT of GMA).

- varnish must be applied on discs after printing (reference of varnish to be confirmed by GMA)

The cardboard may be white or printed.

For the collars :

- flat cardboard, thickness 0,6 to 0,7 mm with tolerances of + or – 0,04 mm.

- weight : 400 to 450 gr/m2 cut from reels directlyplaced on the assembling machine.

- humidity : 7% maximum

- hot melt gluing to affix the collars on the innerbox base periphery. About 0,3 gr hotmelt will be

needed per box. Hot melt type H686212N by SWIFT / FORBO or Technomelt Q 3183 by HENKEL (for

example).
