Product Detail Company Profile
A3, A4 and A5 products printed in short-grain format can be glued inline only by means of cross-web gluing. For these products, fold-gluing is as practical as for products printed in long-grain format.

Compared to wire stitching, glued products are much easier to handle in the print finishing process. They will not cause any problems in the inserting machines. The flat fold of the glued product facilitates piling in the compensating stacker and the operation of the palletizer as well as insertion into a newspaper. In general, the cost per product is also lower if glued.

Our cross-web gluing systems are designed for gluing at a right angle to the web direction with up to 120,000 glue applications/hour. Planatol has invented this sophisticated technology and is the only supplier worldwide.

By retrofitting their presses with cross-web gluing systems, printers can increase their product variety on offer – a unique selling proposition to raise customer loyalty.
